87 Summary Bleeding, including gastrointestinal bleeding, is one of the most frequently encountered problems in surgical practice. The spectrum of causes comprises also an uncommon gastrointestinal pathology – inflammatory fibroid polyp. In order to diagnose the disease correctly and to choose the appropriate treatment, greater awareness of this rare entity is necessary.
